Hello everyone! I'm Yanti from Indonesia, and I'm seriously considering getting treatments in Seoul right now. But I'm a bit worried about the language barrier — I know basic English, but I'm not fluent at all. Has anyone consulted at a clinic there before? Can they usually handle English, or should I learn some basic Korean?
I'm afraid of miscommunication leading to treatment results that don't meet my expectations, haha. Are there usually staff members who speak English? Or should I find a translator or prepare to learn a few Korean phrases first?
Any experience would be super helpful! Thanks!

Yanti, I'm struggling with the same thing! 😅 I think English is probably fine, but it's definitely reassuring to memorize a few Korean words beforehand. Many clinics seem to have interpreters available during consultations, so I recommend checking when you book your appointment.
I was thinking the same thing! I heard most places have staff who speak English, but it's a good idea to prepare some basic Korean vocabulary just in case 😊
I completely understand your concern, Yanti! 😊 I'm from the UAE and faced the same issue, but honestly, most hospitals and clinics in Seoul have English-speaking staff, especially those specializing in international cases. However, prepare a few basic Korean words for numbers, colors, and things like that; sometimes translation brings understanding closer 💙
