Hi, it's Erika. I've been thinking about double eyelid surgery for a while, but I'm honestly unsure if it's worth the trip all the way to Seoul... I can get the procedure done in Japan, and I think aftercare would be easier domestically. But I love K-beauty, and I've heard Korean cosmetic procedures have a great reputation... How does everyone else decide?
What I'm wondering is, does the actual outcome really differ, or is it just in my head...? Also, isn't it really difficult to travel overseas for post-operative care? I'm also worried about what would happen if any issues arise.
Budget-wise, I imagine it would cost quite a bit including travel expenses, accommodation, etc.... but I'm not entirely sure of the exact amount. Could anyone who's had similar concerns or actually gone through with it share their experience? I'd love to hear about the deciding factors and if there's anything you regret, in a realistic way.

I totally get how Erika feels! I'm struggling with the same thing. On one hand, I think it might be easier to get treatments done domestically considering aftercare, but on the other hand, hearing about Korea's technology and expertise is so appealing... It's really a tough decision. I'd love to hear from people who have actually gone, and it would be so reassuring to connect with someone in the same boat.
I totally understand your dilemma! I'm also considering something similar and have been weighing the costs of travel against the convenience of aftercare. Hearing you say this makes me realize that besides the surgery itself, traveling to the clinic is indeed a big issue, especially if follow-up visits are needed. I'm looking forward to everyone's replies and hope to hear some thoughts from sisters with practical experience~
I can understand your concerns! I'm also considering this and wanted to ask if you've looked into the specific differences between getting treatments in Japan versus South Korea? I'm mainly curious if you've heard that the results differ, or if you're simply interested in experiencing the K-beauty medical aesthetic environment?
