Hi everyone, I'm Ziyi. I've been thinking about coming to Korea for some aesthetic procedures, but as a foreigner, I'm honestly not sure where to start. I wanted to ask you all—how did you find a trustworthy clinic? Is there any way to verify that a clinic is reliable?
Also, I'm concerned about the language barrier. My Korean isn't very good, so I'm hesitant to communicate directly with the doctor. Do I need to find my own translator for consultations, or do clinics provide English or Chinese consultation services? I'm really worried that miscommunication could cause problems, so I'd like to understand this beforehand.
If any of you have gone through this process before, could you share your experiences? For example, what questions should I ask before an appointment, what details should I pay attention to, and things like that. I feel like information is hard to come by back home, so I'd really appreciate your help! ~

I totally understand your concerns because I've been in that situation too! 🥺 The biggest challenge is really the language barrier — I'd suggest calling ahead to ask if they have English or Mandarin-speaking staff, since many places here actually offer language support services for foreign clients. As for finding a trustworthy clinic, you can ask friends who've had procedures done, check online reviews, and it's a good idea to consult at 2-3 places before making your decision so you feel more confident!
