Hi everyone, I'm Lan. I've been thinking about getting a cosmetic procedure recently, but I'm stuck on one question – should I get it done at a clinic in China, or save up and go to Korea?
Getting it done in China would be more convenient. I wouldn't need to take too much time off work, and I could directly ask friends who have gone through it. However, I'm a bit unsure about the doctors' skills and experience, and I'm worried about making a mistake. Korean cosmetic surgery definitely has a big reputation, and I've heard that many doctors there have different aesthetic philosophies. But going abroad brings up issues with cost, time, and follow-up care during recovery.
I honestly don't know how to weigh these options. Has anyone else experienced this kind of decision paralysis? How did you ultimately decide? Do you have any advice? I'm mainly looking to hear everyone's genuine thoughts, not medical advice, just want to see how others approach this issue.

I've been in this situation before! The last time I flew to Korea, recovery took a little while, but the doctor had years of experience. If you decide to go, make sure to leave enough time there for follow-up appointments and consultations, and don't rush back home immediately—this is quite important for the later stages.
I totally get the dilemma! Quick question—have you had any consultations with doctors in your home country yet, or are you still in the research phase? I'm wondering if maybe doing a few local consultations first could help you feel more confident about what's actually available near you before committing to the Korea trip.
