Hello everyone, I'm Hoa from Vietnam. I'm planning to go to South Korea for some aesthetic treatments, but I'm quite worried about the financial planning for this trip. I've never done medical tourism before, so I'm not sure what to budget for. Besides the cost of the treatments themselves, I also need to consider flights, accommodation, food... and I'm not sure how long I'll need to stay in Korea.
Has anyone here been in a similar situation? How should I budget to stay within my limits? And how long is a reasonable stay? I've read that after these treatments, you might need a few days to recover, but I'm not sure exactly how long. Can anyone share their experience on how to plan such a trip? I would be very grateful for any practical advice.

Hey Hoa! I totally get the worry – I'm from the US and felt the same way planning my trip here last year. Honestly, building in a few extra days just to be safe helped me relax way more, and I ended up exploring neighborhoods I wouldn't have otherwise. Have you thought about looking into guesthouses in areas with lots of visitors? They tend to be cheaper and you'll meet other people doing similar things.
I totally get it. I was hesitant at first too when planning my trip. Budgeting for the trip itself and the procedure. I'd heard you need to stay for about 5-7 days to allow for recovery and follow-up check-ups, but it really depends on the specific treatment. I recommend contacting the clinic directly to ask about the exact recovery period so you can plan your travel itinerary better.
Hi Hoa! I totally relate to your concerns as I have similar ones. I have a question for you: have you decided on a clinic for your procedure yet? I was wondering if that might affect how long you'll need to stay. Also, since you're coming from Vietnam, I imagine the travel time is quite significant, so I'm curious about how much buffer time you think you'll need physically? 😊
