I've been considering flying to Seoul for double eyelid surgery lately. It's possible in Taiwan, but I've heard South Korea has a great reputation for cosmetic surgery, and some of my friends have had it done and said the recovery was great. However… the trip involves airfare, accommodation, time, and the possibility of staying there for a few days after the surgery. Will it really be cheaper than staying in Taiwan? I'm not sure.
My biggest worry is what to do if there are any problems after the surgery in South Korea? Being in unfamiliar territory, and the language barrier (my Korean is terrible 😅), will follow-up appointments or any complications be difficult? Perhaps some people have gone through this kind of international surgery? I'd like to know how you overcame these challenges, or if you have any advice.
Also, if I decide to go to Seoul, how much time should I allow? Can someone share the entire process? For example, the initial consultation, surgery, and follow-up appointments—how many weeks does it usually take to return to normal life? I'm still considering whether all this is really worth it, so I'd love to hear everyone's experiences!

Don't worry too much. I'm thinking of doing the same thing 😅 I'm also worried about the language barrier and post-operative care. But I've heard from friends that most doctors here have experience interacting with foreigners, and even if their Thai isn't fluent, they try their best to help. Some people also mentioned that some doctors have staff who speak English. Hopefully, we'll get more information from other members as well.
