Hi, my name is Ning and I'm Thai. I'm currently considering going to Seoul for double eyelid surgery. I'm wondering if it's worth traveling this far. I know several friends who've gone to Korea for cosmetic treatments and are satisfied, but I'm still not confident whether it will work out for me. Compared to getting it done here in Thailand and then flying there, what I'm really thinking about is the total cost—accommodation, flights, and the recovery period—and also the risk involved because I'd need multiple follow-up appointments with the doctor.
I'm interested in Seoul because I've heard the doctors there have a lot of experience and the results look natural. But I'm worried about post-procedure follow-ups. If I need to consult with the doctor again, would I have to travel back? Has anyone had experience with this? Did you actually get good results, or is it really better than getting it done in Thailand? I'd like to hear perspectives from people who've actually done it. It's honestly a difficult decision to make.

I totally understand your concerns! I'm curious—have you consulted with a doctor in Thailand yet? What's their assessment of your specific eye condition? Because I feel like that could really impact whether it's worth making a special trip to Seoul for you.
I totally get how you feel! I'm also from abroad and considering going to Korea for the procedure, but I'm worried about the costs and follow-up care afterward. I've heard a lot of people say Korean doctors are really experienced, but I'm also not sure if the risk of traveling multiple times is worth it. Has anyone been through this situation before?
Hey Ning! I'm also someone considering going to Seoul from Southeast Asia for a procedure 😊 I wanted to ask how long after surgery your friends waited before going back home? I'm also worried about post-op follow-ups and wondering how they handled that~
I totally get your concern! I've also considered traveling far for a procedure, but yesterday I found a few spas in Ho Chi Minh City that have internationally experienced doctors too. Maybe you could try asking if the doctor in Thailand can do an online consultation first, and then decide? That way you might save on airfare if you need follow-up appointments 😊
