Hi everyone! I wanted to ask about your experiences with treating swelling after a minor procedure in Korea. I was planning to try a minor treatment, but I'm returning to Indonesia a week later, and I'm a bit worried about how to manage the swelling while traveling.
So my question is: what do doctors usually recommend bringing home? Like cooling products or special creams? I'm wondering if it's better to buy them there or just use the regular skincare I already have. Plus, do you have any tips for managing swelling on the plane or during travel?
Again, I've never experienced this before, so I'm a bit nervous. If anyone has been through this, please share your experiences! How long does it usually take for the swelling to settle, and do you really need special products or is regular skincare enough?
Thanks in advance! 🙏

I understand that anxiety! I was in a similar situation and was very worried before getting on a plane. In the end, I managed with my usual skincare products and a cold towel, so I think you don't need to buy any new products. Drink plenty of water during the flight, and compression socks might make it easier 😊
I totally get the travel worry! Honestly, keeping things cool during the flight made such a difference for me—I just used a clean cold compress or even a chilled water bottle wrapped in a cloth whenever I could, and staying hydrated helped a lot. As for products, I ended up just sticking with my regular gentle moisturizer from home rather than buying anything new, and it worked fine, so you might not need anything fancy!
I was thinking the same thing, so your post is super helpful! From what I've read on the forums here, most people say the most important thing is to stay hydrated, get enough sleep, and use cold compresses during the trip — I don't think fancy products are necessary, our regular skincare routine might be enough. I hope everything goes smoothly for both of us! 🤞
I had the same worry when I went last time, but I found that staying hydrated on the plane is very important. I kept drinking water and applying cold compresses to my face, and it was actually much better than I expected! I suggest you bring your usual skincare products; you don't necessarily need to buy new ones. Lightweight lotions and face masks are very helpful on the plane. 🙂
I've experienced the same thing! My little tip is to try using a wet face mask or cooling sheet on your face while on the plane, and don't forget to drink lots of water—it seems to help reduce puffiness. For products, I just use my usual skincare routine, but combined it with a cold gel or essence from the fridge, and it's been quite helpful on the flight back to Indonesia.
Oh, I totally understand how you feel! I was worried about the same thing when I had to fly back to Thailand after treatment. Personally, I think getting enough sleep and drinking plenty of water helped more than buying any special products. But you should still listen to other people's experiences because everyone's situation can be different. 😊
