Hi everyone! So I've been going back and forth on this for months now. I'm seriously considering getting a procedure done while I'm in Korea next year, but I keep second-guessing myself because I could also just do it at home. Part of me is excited about the idea of getting it done somewhere with such a strong reputation for this stuff, and the whole experience of being there. But then I worry about aftercare when I'm back in the States, or what happens if something doesn't feel right and I can't just pop back in to see someone.
I know a lot of you have made this decision already. I'm really curious — what made you choose Korea over getting it done locally? Or if you did it at home instead, what were your reasons? Was cost a factor, or was it more about finding the right provider, or just the logistics of it all? I'm trying to be realistic about what could go wrong and what the pros and cons actually are, not just the exciting travel part.
Also, if you did go to Korea for it, did you feel comfortable with the communication and follow-ups after you left? I speak a little Korean but I'm definitely not fluent, so that's kind of on my mind too. Any thoughts would help me actually think this through instead of just daydreaming about it!
