Hi everyone, I'm Lina from Jakarta. So I've been wanting to try a skin and facial treatment for a while, but I'm torn between getting it done here or going to Korea. Everyone says the results are better in Korea, but it does take a fair amount of time and money.
My thinking is that in Indonesia, you can get immediate check-ups and follow-ups easily, plus you don't have to pay for accommodation. But on the other hand, I've also heard that the technology and experience of the doctors in Korea are on a different level. I've never been there, so I don't know exactly what the process is like, whether it's really worth it or just hype.
Has anyone tried one or both? How did you decide? What was your main consideration—the end result, the budget, or something else? I'd be happy to share your experience to help me decide, hehe. Thanks in advance!

Hi Lina! I understand you'd like to hear from someone who has had treatments in both Indonesia and Korea. By the way, have you ever had any cosmetic treatments in Indonesia before? Or is this your first time and you're unsure where to go?
Lina, I'm struggling with the same thing! Indonesia is so appealing because it's so easy to get to. But when I hear about the technology and experience in Korea, I can't help but wonder... I also want to hear from someone who has tried both!
I'm in the same boat, Lina 😅 The difference in cost and time is huge, but I keep hearing that the technology in Korea is more advanced. I don't know if it's really worth the difference! If you find someone who's tried both, let me know because I want to know the actual difference.
Hi Lina! I totally understand the dilemma. In my experience, the most important thing is to consult first via video call if possible, so you can ask detailed questions without having to fly there in person. I was also worried about follow-up, but it turns out many places support long-distance communication for post-treatment check-ins, so it's not as bad as I imagined. Maybe try researching several options first, asking friends' experiences, and calculating the total cost (transportation, accommodation, everything) before deciding? It's easy to be tempted by hype, but the right decision is one that fits your situation and budget.
Hi Lina! I totally relate to your confusion, as I've been in the same position. What made me a bit hesitant at first was having to travel back and forth to Korea for follow-ups, but it turns out that consulting online or via chat first makes it easier to manage the timeline. Maybe we could start with a consultation first to see how the process works and calculate the budget in more detail?
I understand how you feel, Lina! I also considered the options of working in Vietnam versus Korea. I think the important thing is that if you choose Korea, you should thoroughly research the consultation process beforehand, because many people, like me, find that expectations and reality sometimes differ – not because of poor quality, but because everyone's skin is different. I hope you find the best option! 💙
Lina, I totally understand how you feel! I had similar worries, and in the end, I made my decision based on a balance between convenience and my budget. Korea certainly has a good reputation for its technical skills, but I think being able to receive continuous care while in Indonesia is also an important point.
