Hello, it's Ayaka. I recently had a minor procedure done in Korea, and I experienced more swelling and bruising than I expected... 😅
I've never gone through this before, so I'm trying to figure out the best way to care for it. I'm not sure whether to apply cold or heat, or the right timing for either. Also, when and to what extent did you resume your usual skincare routine? I assume I should avoid anything irritating.
If anyone has had a similar procedure or has extensive experience with treatments in Korea, could you please share some general care tips or things I should be mindful of? I have work, so I'm particularly interested in any methods to help it calm down as quickly as possible. I'd appreciate any advice. 🙏

Hii Ayaka! I experienced this too when I first got it, the swelling made me panic 😅 From my experience, what helped the most was getting enough rest and avoiding overly active skincare for a while—I just used a gentle cleanser and a basic moisturizer until the swelling subsided a bit. As for when to resume your normal skincare routine, it might be best to ask the place you went to directly, as everyone and every treatment is different. Hope you feel better soon!
Oh, I've been through the exact same thing, it's so frustrating! I did cold compresses for the first two days, then followed the clinic's advice and started gentle care, which really seemed to help. As for skincare, I waited about a week before using gentle products and avoided anything irritating, which helped me recover faster. Keep going, you'll feel much better in a few more days 💪
