Hi everyone, I'm Juan. I've been thinking about getting a cosmetic procedure done recently, but I'm a bit undecided between going within China or to Korea. In China, it's more convenient; I wouldn't need to take time off to travel so far, and I'm familiar with the environment. However, I've heard from friends that Korea seems to have particularly extensive experience in this field, and I feel like their techniques and aesthetic sensibilities might be different?
My main concerns are whether the cost of going to Korea would be exceptionally high, and the travel back and forth would be quite tiring. But I'm also a little worried about whether some clinics in China are truly reliable. Have any of you sisters had similar dilemmas, and how did you ultimately make your decision? Did you consider the doctor's qualifications, recommendations from friends, or other factors?
I'm especially keen to hear everyone's thoughts, particularly if anyone has consulted in both countries. This decision seems more complex than I initially imagined...

Have you or any of your friends tried it in both countries? I'm also struggling between these two options, but I'm not sure whether to prioritize cost or quality 😅
I totally get your dilemma! I was also torn between going to Korea and staying in China before. I ended up choosing Korea mainly because a friend recommended places she'd been to, which at least gave me some peace of mind. My advice is, if you have friends who have been, ask them about their genuine experiences first – like how the recovery period was, how the doctor communicated, etc. That's more important than anything. As for the cost, you definitely need to clarify it beforehand, but don't worry too much. Comparing a few places to get a general idea of the price range will make you feel more confident.
I had previously thought a lot about the silver option, but in the end, going to Korea was a great decision! While the price is indeed more expensive, the difference in skill and technique was very noticeable. My advice is to ask people and look for genuine before/after photos on Instagram – it's very helpful!
I'm also struggling with this issue! I feel like I can understand all the pros and cons you've listed, especially regarding convenience and cost. My current thought is to start by exploring recommendations from friends I trust. That way, at least I'll have a reference point instead of choosing blindly. But I'd also love to hear more people's experiences!
I understand your concerns, as I've been to Korea myself. Personally, I think you need to consider who will be looking after you post-treatment. If you're going far away and something happens to your eyes, it could be difficult. I looked at reviews from actual Thai people who went and asked a friend of a friend who had been. It helped a lot. I hope you think it through carefully 😊
