Hi, this is Erika. I've been thinking about double eyelid surgery for a while, but I'm wondering if it's worth going all the way from Japan to Seoul, South Korea. I've heard that there are more experienced clinics in Korea, but when I consider the airfare and accommodation costs... I have no idea how much it will end up costing. There's also the post-operative care, and I'm worried about what to do if something goes wrong because it's so far away.
For those who have actually traveled overseas for surgery, how did you make the decision? Is it important to directly check the clinic's reputation and track record? Or is it significantly different from getting the surgery in Japan? To be honest, I have an ideal image of my eyes, but no one can guarantee that I'll get the results I want.
I'd like to hear from people who have gone through this. Did you combine it with a trip? What kind of preparations did you make beforehand? Also, how did you handle language barriers and interpreters? I feel like I need a little push to make the decision.😅

Hi Erika! I totally understand your concerns about distance and follow-up care — those are big considerations. But if I may ask, have you consulted online with a clinic in Seoul to see if they support international patients well for aftercare? I've heard that many have long-distance communication systems for this.
Erika, I totally understand how you feel! I'm struggling with the same thing. I have a question: if you were to have the procedure in Korea, how many days were you planning to stay for post-operative care? Also, how do you plan to overcome the language barrier? 😅
