Hi everyone, I'm Min. I've been thinking lately about whether to get a cosmetic procedure done in Korea, but I'm also hesitant, wondering if it would be more convenient to do it in China. I have some understanding of both options, but I'm really unsure.
Doing it in China would definitely be more convenient. I wouldn't need to take too much time off work, and I'd have familiar people to take care of me during recovery. But I've heard that Korea might have more mature experience and technology in this area? However, that would mean spending time and money on travel, and if there are any issues during recovery, I'd have to figure them out myself. Has anyone here struggled between these two options before? Could you share how you finally decided?
What I mainly want to know is, what factors do you think are most important when choosing between the two? Is it cost, time, or trust in the doctors and technology? If I were to go to Korea, would frequent short trips back and forth be too tiring? I'm especially eager to hear advice from sisters who have experience with both options!

I'm thinking the same thing, Min! The hardest part is definitely choosing between the comfort of home versus trusting the technology there. I'm leaning towards Korea because many friends say their experiences are vastly different, but then again... I'm also worried about follow-up if anything happens, hehe. Hope we both get the right answers from the unnies who've been through this! 🥺
Hi sis! I'm also struggling with this issue. I wanted to ask if your doctor in China gave you any advice, or if you've already consulted with doctors in Korea? I feel like it might be easier to decide if we can compare the treatment plans from doctors on both sides.
I've had this dilemma too! I ended up choosing to have it done in China, mainly because I could have family to take care of me during recovery and get to a hospital quickly if any issues arose, without having to deal with it all alone. While I've heard Korean technology is indeed very mature, the time and energy cost of traveling back and forth was too high for me, and recovering in a foreign place would have made me really anxious. But everyone's situation is different. If you have ample vacation time and really trust Korean doctors, perhaps flying there specifically might give you more peace of mind?
