Hi everyone! I'm Huiwen from Taiwan. I've been thinking about getting a small procedure done in Korea (still considering it!), but I happen to have a trip abroad scheduled afterward. I wanted to ask those of you with experience how you take care of yourselves during the post-surgery swelling period when traveling?
I'm especially curious if anyone has brought any post-surgery care products or swelling-relief items on a plane? Like cold packs or soothing creams? I've heard that swelling is most noticeable in the first few days, so I'm quite worried that a long flight might worsen it. Has anyone tried this?
Also, if I were to buy post-surgery care products, would they be cheaper in Korea than in Taiwan? Or is it better to just bring them from home for peace of mind? I'm a complete beginner in this area and really need advice from experienced people 😅 Thank you all!

As a fellow foreigner, I understand your concerns! 😅 I think it's best to prepare all the necessary items at home before you go, because when you're still swollen, it's hard to go shopping. Plus, a long flight can really worsen swelling, so you'll need cooling gels and moisturizers ready.
Hi Huiyuan! I'm curious, when you flew back home to Taiwan, how long was the flight? I'm also planning something similar and am really worried about how to manage swelling on the plane 😅
When I flew back after my last treatment in Korea, I brought some cooling patches and a hydrating mist, and they did help a bit! But honestly, long flights do cause some swelling, and I think drinking more water and moving around as much as possible is more effective than any product 😅 As for shopping in Korea, there are indeed many types of skincare products, but I suggest buying your usual favorites in China. In Korea, you can just consult a doctor on-site for recommendations, which will give you more peace of mind!
