Hi everyone, I'm Dan, and I've been thinking about something lately. I'm not really satisfied with my eye shape and I've been considering getting double eyelid surgery. There seem to be plenty of good options domestically, but recently I've been reading a lot of posts about plastic surgery in Seoul, and it does seem like the doctors there have a different level of technical skill and aesthetic sense. So I've been thinking about making a special trip there to get it done. But then I'd have to factor in round-trip flights, accommodation, and time off work during recovery. When you add it all up, the costs are actually pretty significant.
I wanted to ask if any of you have experience traveling specifically to Seoul for a procedure? Was it worth it? My biggest hesitation right now is that I can actually get good results done domestically, so why bother making such a long trip? I've heard that aesthetic preferences do vary quite a bit between different places, but I'm also not entirely sure what kind of results I actually want.
And how do I calculate the recovery period? If I need to take time off work, my employer might not be happy about me taking too much leave. Has anyone experienced this themselves? Or does anyone have advice to help me figure out whether I should go or not? Thanks so much!

I've been wrestling with this question too! I think your perspective is really rational—it's definitely important to weigh the costs and benefits. Right now I'm also wondering whether it's necessary to make a special trip, or if it would be better to first consult with a reliable doctor locally. That way at least I can get clearer on what results I'm actually looking for.
