Can the diagnosis for jaw contouring vary from hospital to hospital?

As I look into jaw contouring, I'm worried that some places might only talk about the contours while others mention the jaw itself.

Since the burden increases as the scope of the surgery expands, I think the diagnostic criteria are the most important factor.

For jaw contouring, is the direction determined only after a CT scan and occlusion examination?

I think there will be a big difference between a consultation that focuses only on aesthetic lines and one that considers function as well.

For those of you who have consulted with multiple places regarding jaw contouring, did the diagnoses come out similarly?
