Hey ladies, I'm Suong, currently in Vietnam. I've been thinking for a long time about getting double eyelid surgery, but I'm unsure whether to fly to Seoul for it or find a clinic here. I've heard that doctors in Korea are very skilled and experienced, but I'm also worried about the extra costs of flights, recovery time, and remote post-operative follow-up. Has anyone in the group considered these two options before?
I've calculated that the costs for plane tickets, hotels, and living expenses will add up significantly, not to mention the time off work. I'm not sure if the results will be good enough to justify those additional expenses. Has anyone who had surgery abroad felt more at ease psychologically? Or has anyone had good results from surgery in Vietnam? I'd love to hear everyone's honest opinions to help me decide.

Reading about Sweat's experience, I really understand the concerns about flight tickets, hotels, and taking time off work. It's a lot! 😅 But I wanted to ask, have you consulted with any doctors in Vietnam yet? Personally, I'm curious about how much the prices differ.
This is a really great question! I used to work abroad with joint pain and have experience traveling to Seoul. From what I know, it's about the condition, the price, and the difficulty of getting aftercare – but ultimately, it's an individual decision. I think it's very important to ask your doctor because it can be hard to estimate recovery time when life is actively moving forward.
Suen, I totally understand how you feel. I have similar concerns. I have a question for you: if you were to get the procedure done in Vietnam, do you have any worries about aftercare? For example, are you concerned about what you would do if any issues arise?
