However, after calculating the total cost of flights, accommodation, recovery, etc., I'm not sure if it's worth it, especially since I'll have to take a few extra days off work.

On a related note, I'd also like to ask: if I were to fly abroad for a procedure, what should I consider? Should I research hospitals or clinics beforehand, or go through recommendations from friends? I'm also concerned about post-surgery follow-up and care after returning home – is it difficult?
