I am leaving a review because I have improved after receiving treatment at Songpa Sejong Korean Medicine Clinic for 9 months.
The director and the staff are all wonderful. Throughout the treatment, they kept giving me hopeful messages that I would get better, which I think helped me recover quickly.
To write this in chronological order:
December 2022: First onset of tinnitus.
This was a time when the weather was cold and my immunity was low.
A low-pitched, high-pitched ringing sound kept ringing in my ears for several days.
I started going to the gym for the first time and adjusted my diet, and the tinnitus disappeared.
April 2024: Second onset of tinnitus.
The tinnitus returned, but this time the sound was clearer than before.
I heard different tinnitus sounds in the morning and evening.
Again, I thought it would be cured with exercise and diet control, so I switched to "lifestyle improvement mode," but it did not improve.
May 2024: Finally visited a hospital.
At first, even though the tinnitus was distinct, I could still sleep.
However, at some point, the sound became louder, so I sought treatment at a tinnitus clinic. I started.
Although they said there was nothing wrong with my ear itself, I received treatment quite consistently.
However, I didn't feel like I saw any effect.
To make matters worse, tinnitus developed in the other ear in the meantime.
**Visit to a Korean Medicine Clinic in August 2025**
I visited about three hospitals, but seeing no improvement, I eventually switched to a Korean medicine clinic.
The first place I visited was Songpa Sejong Korean Medicine Clinic, and I decided to go there right away because the consultation was systematic.
I didn't know the cause since I had no issues with my ear, but the director gave me a great consultation.
They said the biggest cause of tinnitus is poor circulation in the neck, which is the passageway for the brain and cerebrospinal fluid. So, you told me that if I loosened up this area, my tinnitus symptoms would improve significantly.
After examining my neck, you mentioned that the adhesions were severe and that we needed to start by breaking them.
I began treatment with a combination of herbal acupuncture and Chuna manual therapy, scheduled for 3-month intervals.
December 2025: Tinnitus disappeared in one side.
The tinnitus, which had developed relatively early, was cured relatively quickly after receiving treatment (no recurrence to date).
May 2026: The tinnitus sound weakened overall, and my stamina improved.
And now, as I am.
The side where I originally heard the sound was also in severe condition, but that part has improved.
Also, my fatigue has largely disappeared, and I feel healthier.
Currently, it seems that long-standing tinnitus still requires time to fully recover.
However, I am pleased that I no longer get stressed by the sound like before, and I can sleep without any problems.
