Hey everyone! I'm planning to get a small cosmetic procedure done in Korea next month, and my friend mentioned that the pre-consultation and the procedure itself are just part of it—post-op care is actually the key. I'm thinking about whether I should bring some skincare products from home beforehand, so I don't have to scramble to find them if I need them.
I'm considering bringing some cold sheet masks, silicone scar sheets, and soothing gel, but honestly I'm not totally sure which brands are easy to find in Korea or whether my domestic products will work well there. Has anyone here been through this before? Could you share what post-op skincare products you brought with you? Or would it be safer to just follow the doctor's recommendations and buy things locally?
I'm especially curious about everyone's experience with cold therapy—is it more comfortable to use sheet masks or cold gel? My skin is quite sensitive, so I'm a bit worried about using the wrong products. Thanks so much!

When I went to Korea recently, I brought a few skincare products from here, but honestly I didn't end up using most of them because the doctor there gave me recommendations for local products that were perfect for my skin condition after the treatment. So maybe it's better if you just bring the essentials (like sunscreen and a light moisturizer), and then ask the doctor directly for aftercare product recommendations — they usually know best what will work with your treatment results!
Hi! I was actually thinking the same thing — wondering what products I should take home after the treatment. My good friend was there and said the local products have great quality, but honestly, I think it's best to listen to the doctors' advice there — they'll know what works best for your specific skin condition. Wishing you all the best with it!
I had the same issue after the service last year. In my opinion, it's good that it was brought from far away, but I think it's better if the pharmacy staff shows it first. I preferred the cold gel because the mask seemed like an odd thing. The condition is a possible question to turn around!
