Hey everyone! I'm kind of stuck between two options right now and would love to hear how others thought through this. I'm considering getting a cosmetic procedure done, and I could either do it here in the States or make a trip to Korea. There are pros and cons to both that I keep going back and forth on.
The Korea option sounds amazing — I've heard good things about the expertise and the overall vibe, plus I'd get a little vacation out of it. But I'm honestly worried about follow-up care if something feels off after I'm back home, and I'm not totally sure how to navigate the cost-benefit when you factor in flights and accommodation. On the flip side, going local means easy access to my doctor if I need them, but I'm also not sure I'd be as confident in the results.
I guess what I'm really asking is — did anyone else face this choice? How did you decide? Was it worth it to travel, or do you wish you'd just gone local? I'm trying to be realistic about what matters most (aftercare, comfort level, actual results) rather than just chasing the idea of getting it done somewhere "cooler." Any thoughts would help!

I was in your shoes once and ultimately decided to fly to Korea. What I learned is this: prepare a list of doctors and clinics you can contact after you return home, because that's what truly gave me peace of mind. Afterward, the cost of flights and accommodation can be considered part of the experience, not just an expense, but I understand if that doesn't fit your budget, and that's perfectly normal!
I completely understand your concern about follow-up care after returning home 😅 Have you already tried flying to Korea for the procedure, or are you still considering it for the first time? I'm curious to know if people who actually went there really got in touch when they needed help.
