Hi everyone, I'm Xue. I'm currently considering doing a small procedure in Korea, but I've encountered a big problem—my Korean is really basic, and I can barely understand the local review websites. I've tried translating some reviews with translation software, but they sound off, and I'm not sure if they're genuine.
I'd like to ask you all, how do you determine the credibility of a clinic or doctor's reputation? Are there any warning signs I should be wary of? For example, should I be cautious of reviews that make overly absolute promises? Or should I be cautious of reviews that exaggerate too much? I don't know much about Korean cosmetic surgery culture, and I'm afraid of getting scammed.
If any of you have also chosen a clinic based on reviews and friend recommendations, could you share your experiences? How can I avoid being misled by false advertising? Thank you so much!

I used to be worried like you, but later I realized that it's better to ask Vietnamese friends who have already worked there directly instead of relying solely on online reviews. And when calling or texting, ask for details about the process and don't just believe overly optimistic promises, as those are often warning signs.
I feel the same way! Language is a really big barrier. Now I try to find Thai people who have been there before, or ask my Korean friends to read reviews for me, because translation apps aren't always reliable.
I understand that anxiety! At first, I had no idea what to believe on Korean review sites. Translation apps really do lose subtle nuances, don't they? I try to hear firsthand experiences from trustworthy Japanese communities and compare multiple sources. I do think reviews promising exaggerated results are definitely suspicious.😅
Yes, I understand your concerns! Have you tried contacting friends from other countries who have received treatment in Korea? I think that's more reliable than reading translated reviews. 😊
Have you ever asked for opinions from other foreign friends in Korea? I'm also worried about this, so I'd like to know if you have any way to verify information before making a decision.
I'm also considering starting a small project, and I completely understand your concerns! I think it's helpful to look at reviews on several different platforms instead of just one; this makes it easier to see genuine feedback. Also, ask your friends about their experiences; word-of-mouth recommendations seem more reliable than online reviews.
