Hi, I'm Asuka. I've been thinking about double eyelid surgery for a while now, and recently I've started seriously considering going to Seoul. I know I can have it done in Japan, but when I hear about K-beauty facilities, technology, and reputation, I can't help but wonder if it's really worth the hassle of going all the way to Korea.
To be honest, when I think about airfare and accommodation costs, it does add up to quite a bit. But a friend told me that "Korea has more options," so if I do go, I want to get a consultation there first before making a decision. I'd really like to hear from someone who's actually gone from overseas—how they chose their facility and what their experience was like.
I'm also worried about the language barrier, and if something goes wrong, I'm concerned about aftercare from abroad. Maybe it's safer to just do it in Japan? Or is it worth taking the leap and going? Since I'm still undecided, I'd really like to hear from people who've actually had it done there.

I used to be torn about whether to fly to Seoul from China to get it done, but I ended up going! I think there really are more options to choose from, and being able to consult and compare in person makes me feel more confident. As for the language barrier, I downloaded a translation app beforehand, and brought my passport and insurance information along, so it wasn't really a big deal. If you can afford it financially, visiting in person might help you find a plan that's especially tailored to you.
I totally understand your concern! When I went to Shanghai for the first time, I was hesitant too about whether it was worth it. But what really helped me was talking to people who had already been there. They told me there are actually tons of options, and the technicians are really detail-oriented. The language barrier isn't as big of a deal as you might think 😊 Many places have English-speaking staff. If you're seriously considering it, I'd recommend consulting at several places first.
