Hey everyone! I'm honestly going back and forth on this and could use some perspective. I've been thinking about getting a procedure done, and I have the option to do it either back home in the US or while I'm in Korea. Part of me is drawn to Korea because I've heard amazing things about the expertise and attention to detail here, plus the cost difference is pretty significant. But then I think about recovery, follow-up care, potential complications—like, what if something doesn't feel right and I can't just pop into my regular doctor?
I'm also not sure how the whole logistics thing works. Would I need to stay longer? How do I find someone trustworthy if I don't speak fluent Korean? And honestly, there's something comforting about doing it in my home country where I understand the medical system.
For anyone who's been in this spot—what made you choose one way or the other? Did you end up happy with your decision? I'm especially curious if people did it in Korea and how they managed the aftercare stuff. I'm trying to be realistic about what makes sense for me, not just chase the idea of getting it done cheaper or in some glamorous place, you know?
