Hi, it's Riko! I'm getting cosmetic procedures done in Korea next month, and I'd like to ask for advice on aftercare once I return.
I'm wondering if I should bring cooling sheets and Cica sheets from Japan to help reduce swelling and redness after the procedures. I heard you can buy them there, but I feel more at ease using products I'm familiar with. Also, what kind of soothing gels do you all prepare?
I've never traveled like this before, so honestly, I'm a bit anxious 😅 I'd love to hear from people who have actually been. Like, "What did you pack in your suitcase that made your recovery period easier when you got back?" If you have any tips, I'd be really happy if you could share them!

I'm also about to get a procedure done in Korea, so I totally understand your worries! I was planning to bring some sheet masks from Vietnam because I'm used to them, but I heard they have a lot of good products there, so it might be more convenient to just buy them then 😅
I totally get the anxiety about this! I'd definitely bring your own trusted products from home since you already know how your skin reacts to them—that peace of mind is worth the luggage space, honestly. I'm planning my own trip soon and honestly just going to pack my regular gentle cleanser and moisturizer along with some cooling masks, since recovery is stressful enough without worrying if a new product will irritate things 😅
Last time, I also brought my usual masks and soothing products, and it really made a difference! Some of the products I bought on-site caused a stronger reaction on my skin. It's reassuring to use products you're familiar with 😅 I suggest bringing enough ice packs and items for wet compresses, as you'll be using them frequently in the first few days!
