Hi, this is Yui. I've been struggling with this for a while, but I'm wondering whether it's better to get cosmetic procedures done in Japan or Korea... I'm posting this to get some opinions.
I'm interested in getting procedures done in Korea because I have the impression that there are many experienced doctors there. But recently, there are also many good doctors in Japan, right? Going to Korea would involve travel expenses and time, and I'm worried about aftercare... Since I'm Japanese, I wouldn't have to worry about language barriers if I went in Japan.
But when I hear stories from people who have actually had procedures done in Korea, I'm still drawn to it. Is it that "Korean beauty" brand image? (laughs) However, when I think about the risk of failure, I wonder if it's really worth taking such a risk.
How did everyone else make this decision? What were your priorities? I'd love to hear your honest experiences.

Honestly, I get the appeal of the K-beauty hype (the aesthetic is real!), but I've found that good practitioners exist everywhere — it really comes down to doing your homework on *who* specifically you're seeing, not just the country. For me, aftercare consistency mattered way more than where I got the procedure, so I ended up going local just to make follow-ups super easy. That said, if you do go to Korea, having a friend there or a clinic that does translate support calls makes the anxiety way less intense!
