I've been thinking about getting double eyelid surgery recently. Some friends have gone to Seoul for it, and the results looked good. But I'm wondering, if I fly all the way there from China, besides the surgery cost, I also have to factor in airfare, accommodation, and taking time off work. Is it really worth it? I've heard that Korea does have extensive experience in this area, but there are also many good doctors in China.
The main thing I'm struggling with is the recovery period. If I have the surgery done in Seoul, do I need to stay there during the swelling phase? Or can I fly back directly? Has anyone experienced this? I'd really love to hear everyone's advice on what to consider for this kind of cross-city surgery.
Also, I'm not entirely sure about the whole process, like pre-operative consultations and post-operative check-ups. Would it be very inconvenient if I'm back in China? Have any of you had a similar experience and can share how you made your decision?

I completely understand your concerns. Personally, I'd like to ask if you have any relatives or friends who've had procedures done in Seoul and returned while still swollen? I'm curious how they managed flying during that time 😅
I'm in the same boat, so I totally understand your worries! The reality is that the costs of flights, accommodation, and time off work really need to be carefully considered, it's not always cheaper to get it done abroad than at home.
This is an interesting topic! It seems your main questions revolve around the recent recovery period and how to schedule your next appointment. One thing I'm curious about is — did you have the opportunity to get an initial online consultation when you first started? I feel like that could have been helpful for planning your trip.
