Hey everyone, I'm planning to get a minor aesthetic procedure done before I return to China, but I have a business trip to Europe two weeks later. I wanted to ask for your advice on how to best manage swelling after the procedure. Should I bring any specific products with me?
I've heard there's a swelling period in the first few days, and I really don't want to meet clients with a puffy face, haha. Has anyone been in a similar situation? How should I schedule icing and heat application? Also, what should I be mindful of before a long flight, and will it make the swelling worse?
Additionally, I'd like to ask what skincare or soothing products you usually bring. Should I prepare some anti-inflammatory or calming masks or serums? I'm a complete beginner in this area and would love to hear recommendations from experienced sisters. Thanks!

This is really interesting! Which week of those two weeks do you think you'd choose to have the most recovery time, or are you worried that even two weeks won't be enough for the swelling to go down? 😅
Leaving in two weeks is quite a tight schedule. By the way, how do you plan to spend the first week or so after the procedure? I'm worried it might interfere with work or daily life.
I've been to Korea and done something similar, plus long flights 😅. Something that helped me a lot was preparing facial sheets at home and chilling them beforehand. On the plane, I could feel much more comfortable. As for moisturizers, the doctors providing the service usually have special product recommendations. Try asking them. I think they know best how to take care of yourself!
I completely understand your concerns! I also had a minor procedure before traveling abroad, and I was most worried about clients seeing me swollen, haha. My experience was to drink plenty of water and avoid salty foods in the week leading up to it. After the procedure, I really focused on cold compresses for the first few days, then gradually switched to warm compresses. Your doctor will explain the specifics in detail, though. For long flights, I bring masks and soothing serums to use on the plane, which I feel helps! I recommend asking your doctor about your specific situation and timeline before the procedure so you feel more prepared 💚
