I'm considering flying to Seoul for double eyelid surgery. I'm Vietnamese and currently have options in Vietnam, but I've heard that doctors in Korea are very specialized in our eye type. The problem is I don't know if the cost of flights, hotel, and the total treatment will be worth it. Has anyone had this done in Seoul before? Can you share your experience?
I'm also a little worried about the recovery process – what if I fly back to Vietnam immediately after the surgery? How long will it take before I can walk normally again? And what if something goes wrong after I get home? This makes me unsure whether I should have it done abroad.
I'm considering the approach of finding a reputable doctor with experience in Asian eyes, who can communicate well in English or Vietnamese. But I'm still considering whether this is really worth it. Does anyone have a similar experience they'd like to share?

I've also been to Seoul for work and I understand your concerns! I suggest you look for clinics with clear support in Vietnamese or English beforehand, because good communication will give you more peace of mind when asking about post-treatment care. You can also ask them in advance about recovery time and what to do if you have any problems after returning to Vietnam, to see if they offer online support!
Can you point it out? Were you traveling home with swollen eyes and feeling dizzy? And for those who have been there, how many days did it take to recover enough to wear makeup normally?
I also flew in from China last year to have this done, so I understand your concerns! My advice is to consult with several clinics beforehand and clarify their understanding of Asian eye shapes; this is really important. As for the recovery period, I was able to resume normal activities in about a week, but everyone is different, so it's best to allow a little more time. Most importantly, choose a doctor with whom you can communicate smoothly, so any questions after the surgery can be answered promptly!
