Hey everyone! So I've been thinking about getting double eyelid surgery for a while now, and I keep seeing all these posts about people traveling to Seoul for it. Part of me is really curious, but honestly I'm torn about whether it makes sense to fly all the way from the US for this. Like, yes, I've heard Korea has amazing surgeons and a whole culture around cosmetic procedures, but I'd also need to factor in flights, accommodation, time off work, and the whole recovery thing while being away from home.
Has anyone here actually done this? I'm trying to figure out: Is the quality/experience so different that it justifies the travel hassle? And how do you even choose a surgeon when you're looking from abroad—like, what did you actually base your decision on? I'm nervous about communication barriers too, even though I know many places have English-speaking coordinators.
Also curious about the recovery timeline. I know everyone heals differently, but if you traveled for this, were you able to manage the aftercare okay while traveling back, or did you stay longer? I'm just trying to be realistic about what this would actually involve. Any honest thoughts would help!
