Hi everyone, I'm View 😊
Since I'm planning to get a non-invasive petite procedure done in Korea this year and I have to fly back home the same day, I wanted to ask you all who've done it before — how severe is the swelling usually in the first few days after the procedure? And will it improve quickly if I take good care of it?
Also, what items should I bring with me or buy to use for aftercare when I get home? Like cooling gels or cold compress pads — which type works best? Once I'm back in Thailand, how can I find products that match my specific needs? And if anyone has tips on personal care routines, I'd really appreciate your advice 🥺

Hey! Did you end up getting the procedure done already, or are you still planning for it? I'm curious because I'm thinking about doing something similar on a trip too, and I'm wondering if you found that the swelling was manageable enough to fly home the same day — like, were people able to tell something was done, or did it stay pretty minimal? 😊
I'm planning to try it too, so I totally understand your concerns! I've heard from a lot of people that there's some swelling on the first day, but if you take good care of it, things improve a lot over the next few days. I'm thinking of bringing ice gel packs from home—it's safer and more familiar that way. You could ask the doctor directly right after the procedure; they usually have specific advice tailored to each person! 🙌
I totally get it! I was in a similar situation, and I was honestly shocked at how much swelling there was right after the procedure 😅 It was really helpful to bring cooling sheets before heading home — I was able to use them on the plane too. I think you can also find cooling packs at pharmacies in Thailand, so picking some up locally could be a good option! Anyway, it seems like keeping things cool during those first few days is the key thing.
I totally get it! I also went back home the same day, so I was really worried too😅 Cooling gel sheets are sold normally at Korean drugstores, so I'd recommend buying them there. Personally, I found it really helped to keep a cold towel on my face the entire flight home. If you're going to be moving around a lot, it might be worth bringing portable cooling sheets from Japan with you!
I've also had this done in Korea! 😊 The hardest part is that there's really significant swelling on the first day, so I recommend preparing ice packs or cold gel before heading home, since it might be difficult to find specialized products right away in Vietnam. Also, make sure to drink plenty of water and avoid sleeping face-down for the first few days to reduce swelling faster!
