Hi everyone, I'm Hui. I'm planning to get a small cosmetic procedure done in Korea next week, but I've already booked my return flight, which is about 5 days after the surgery. I'm a bit worried about whether the swelling will be really noticeable during the flight, and also how to take care of myself during the trip.
I'd like to ask everyone: how long does swelling typically last after this kind of small procedure? Has anyone brought skincare products back home with them? I'm thinking I should prepare some soothing and de-swelling products in advance, but I'm not entirely sure what would be appropriate to bring. I've heard that some products aren't very convenient to carry during flights—can anyone share their experience?
Also, I'd like to know what other daily tips besides cold compress can help reduce post-procedure discomfort? This is my first time doing this kind of procedure, so I'm a little nervous. Thank you all for your advice!

I've had the same experience! It's a good idea to really focus on moisturizing the day before your flight. Also, since the air on planes is so dry, bringing a spray-type toner is really handy. It's natural to feel anxious at first, but I think you'll be fine with 5 days 😊
Hey Hui! I was actually planning to go to Korea the same way too, so I wanted to ask — when you consulted with the clinic, did you ask them about flying back home? What kind of advice did they give you? 😅
I totally understand your concerns! I was in the same boat before—jet lag combined with flight time can really be anxiety-inducing. My suggestion is to ask your doctor in advance about when you'll be cleared to fly after the procedure. That way you'll feel much more at ease, and you can adjust your travel plans based on your recovery progress.
I totally understand your concern! I've been in the same situation before, haha. My advice would be to ask your doctor clearly about what you should avoid before traveling, and pack enough cooling masks with you. Don't rush into buying extra products to layer up, because it might not be convenient on the plane anyway. I think that approach would be better.
