Hi everyone, I'm Nhung. I'm planning a trip to Korea soon to get some minor cosmetic procedures done. I'm currently packing and thinking about what skincare items I should bring back home with me. I know I'll need to rest and take good care of my skin in the first few days.
I'm considering bringing things like cooling masks, silicone sheets, and soothing gels to aid in the recovery process. But I'm not sure if I really need to bring them from Vietnam, or if I can just buy them in Korea. I'm worried that if I buy them there, I won't know which ones are suitable, and if they'll be expensive.
Has anyone here had a similar travel experience? Could you share what items were most helpful for you to bring? I want to make sure I have everything I need for the smoothest possible aftercare. Thank you!

I totally get how you feel! I struggled with the same thing last time I went, but then I realized it's actually more convenient to buy things in Korea. They have a huge variety of local products, and the staff can give you recommendations. Still, I brought some of my usual basic skincare products just to feel more at ease 😊 You can check things out in Korea first and buy what you need there, since there are convenience stores everywhere anyway!
Hi Nhung, do you know if they sell a lot of gentle, restorative skincare products there? I'm also torn between bringing some from Vietnam or buying them there. Some people say buying them there is even better because they're suited for the climate and have been tested extensively 😊
Hi Nhung! I used to worry just like you about what to pack for recovery 😅 Actually, Korea has so many great products for aftercare, so you don't need to bring everything from Vietnam. But the most practical essentials like cooling patches and gentle gel are best to prepare beforehand, and then in Korea, you can buy other things based on your skin's needs. My friends also said it's easier to shop there because they know exactly what suits their skin condition at the time.
Hi Nhung, did you ask the doctor there what to avoid for the first few days after the procedure? I'm going soon too and want to know if I should bring my usual products from Vietnam or if it's okay to buy them there.
