Hi everyone, this is Pei-Yun. I've been hesitating about whether to fly all the way to Seoul for double eyelid surgery. There are many doctors in Taiwan who can do it, but my friends keep saying that the aesthetics and techniques in Korea seem a bit different, and I've also heard that Seoul has many experienced doctors. However, the cost of airfare, accommodation, and possibly taking a few extra days off work adds up, and I'm a little unsure if it's really worth the investment.
My main concern is the inconvenience of post-operative care—if any problems arise during recovery in Korea, will it be difficult to follow up with doctors or get treatment back in Taiwan? Also, I'm hesitant to just choose any doctor; it seems harder to find reliable clinics overseas. Has anyone had this kind of surgery done overseas? How did you decide, and did you find it worthwhile?
I know everyone's situation is different, but I'd like to hear your real experiences; maybe it can help me clear my head. Thank you!
