Hello. When is it safe to get a tattoo (new or touch-up) after plastic surgery?
Please provide a checklist of questions to ask the clinic, covering concerns regarding scar tissue, pigment diffusion, infection, and delayed healing, as well as cases of anesthetic and antibiotic interactions. I would also appreciate it if you could share your experiences regarding consultation methods between dermatologists and tattoo shops, and recommended recovery periods.

It is safer to proceed after the surgical site has completely stabilized (usually at least 3 to 6 months, or 6 to 12 months for scars) and after confirmation by your doctor.
Be sure to inquire at the hospital about the risk of infection, the effects of antibiotics and anesthetics, and the condition of the scar, and also share the location and recovery status with the tattooist.
