Hi everyone, I’m Dan. I’m planning to get some medical aesthetic procedures done in Korea soon, but as a foreigner, I’m a bit worried about how to find a truly reliable clinic. There’s so much information online, and I’m not sure if some of the reviews are genuine.
I have a few questions for you all: How do you usually find clinics? Are there any trustworthy channels? Also, my English is okay, but I’m not very familiar with medical terms. So, I’m particularly interested in: Is having translation services at the clinic important for first-time consultations? Has anyone experienced consultations solely in English, and how did it feel?
Additionally, are there any questions you usually ask during your first consultation? I’d like to make a list to ensure I fully understand everything before making a decision. I’ve heard that some clinics pay special attention to the consultation process and explain things thoroughly, while others are more perfunctory… I’m feeling a bit lost and hope you can share some experiences!

I totally understand your concerns! What helped me a lot here was preparing questions in advance, just like you're thinking, and importantly, consulting with multiple places before making a decision. Even though it takes time, feeling comfortable with their communication will help you avoid regrets later on ✨
Dan, I totally get it! I had the same worries at first. From my experience, when I went for my first consultation, I brought a list of questions I'd written out in English myself, and the staff explained everything very thoroughly. Even without an interpreter, some clinics will show you pictures or explain things in simple terms, so I think it's best to book consultations at a few different places and compare how they respond. Good luck!
I'm in the same boat as you! I wanted to ask, when you called to inquire about English consultations, did they respond quickly, or should I prepare myself for a long wait?
Hi Dan! I'm also a foreigner and have had a few consultations in Seoul. I've actually found that comparing several hospitals gives me more peace of mind, rather than relying solely on online reviews. Have you already decided on any specific treatments you'd like to get? Because some hospitals are genuinely more experienced in certain procedures, which might make it easier to find a suitable place!
