Hi everyone! I'm Ratna from Jakarta. I've planned to sign up for a minor aesthetic treatment in Korea, but I can only go for a week. Now, I'm a bit worried about any lingering swelling or redness when I return to Jakarta.
Can anyone give me tips on how to care for the treatment area while traveling? Considering I'll be on a plane, experiencing weather changes, and need to return to the office within a few days. What products are worth bringing to take good care of myself at home? I've heard there are certain creams or serums that are good for the recovery phase, but I don't know what to look for yet.
Also, do you have any tips regarding safe makeup or skincare routines while the swelling is still present? I'm afraid it might make things worse. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share their experiences! 🙏

I completely understand your concern, Ratna! I also traveled from the UAE and had a small procedure done. I was very worried about swelling and redness when I returned to work 😅 Honestly, resting and using cold compresses on the plane helped me a lot, and I tried to be gentle with my skin by sticking to a very simple routine without too many products. I hope to hear from others with more experience!
Hey Ratna! I totally get the stress about flying back with swelling still there—I was in a similar boat last year. Honestly, I found that keeping my head elevated on the plane (like using a neck pillow) and staying super hydrated made a bigger difference than I expected. Also, I'd say skip heavy makeup for at least a few days if you can; I learned the hard way that even "gentle" products can feel irritating when your skin is still sensitive. Good luck with everything!
Hi Ratna! I'm thinking the same thing, so I was so happy to read your post haha. A week is indeed a bit short, but from what I've heard from friends, as long as we follow the aftercare instructions well while in Korea and are consistent when we get back to Jakarta, the swelling can usually be reduced quite a lot. I'm also nervous about makeup and skincare routines, so I'm eager to hear answers from those who have experience! 🙏
