Hi everyone! So I've been going back and forth on this for a while now and honestly could use some perspective. I'm interested in getting a procedure done, and I've found options both here in the States and in Korea. The Korea option is tempting because I've heard good things about the standards and the experience overall, but the logistics are making my head spin—flights, time off work, recovery time, follow-ups if needed.
I guess my main concern is: how do you weigh the pros and cons? Like, is it worth the hassle and cost of traveling if the procedure itself might be similar quality at home? And if you've gone the Korea route, did you feel like the overall experience justified the trip, or do you wish you'd just done it locally? I'm not even sure what to prioritize—price, expertise, the whole vibe of getting it done somewhere new?
Also, I'm curious about the practical stuff—like how people handle follow-up care when you're back home. Is that actually a problem, or am I overthinking it? Any honest takes would be really helpful. I know it's a personal decision, but hearing how others thought through it would definitely help me figure out what makes sense for me.

I'm feeling the same way! The hardest part is deciding whether the flight and the waiting time are worth it, especially when worrying about follow-up after returning home. I feel more at ease knowing I can find a doctor in Vietnam to help me afterward, instead of worrying alone. I'd love to hear from others who've been through this to see if it's as difficult as I imagine 😊
