Hi everyone! So I'm planning a trip to Korea soon and I'm thinking about getting some nose filler done while I'm there. I'm coming from the US and I can stay for about 10 days total, but I need to fly back home for work after that. I'm just wondering — how much downtime should I realistically expect? Like, will I have noticeable swelling or bruising that would make it obvious something was done? I'm not trying to hide it from everyone, but I'd rather not show up to the office looking super puffy if I can help it lol. Has anyone here done it and then flown back? I'm nervous about how air pressure might affect things too, if that's even a concern? Any experiences or general timeline info would be really helpful! TIA

I completely understand your concerns! I hesitated for a long time about this too, because I didn't want my colleagues to notice. But I later found out that the degree of swelling in the first few days varies from person to person. Some people's swelling subsides almost completely the next day, while others need about a week to look more natural. Given such a long flight, I would suggest allowing at least a week for recovery to be on the safe side. That way, it shouldn't be too noticeable when you return to the office.
I understand, I was worried about the same thing! You're probably wondering how much the swelling will go down before you go back to work. My friend said it subsided quite a bit in a few days, but it seems to vary from person to person, so it's probably best to ask the staff directly when you get the procedure, "I'm flying in X days, is it okay?"
I completely understand your concerns! I also wanted to make a small adjustment for my trip to Korea, but I had to give up because I had to fly back to see clients. A friend told me that the effects are usually more noticeable in the first three to five days, but everyone is different, so you might need to ask your doctor about your specific situation.
I understand your concerns. I was also wondering if I could do it while traveling in Korea and if I'd have enough time to recover before going home. I'm also worried about the flight arrangements. 😅
I agree with you, but I think eight days should be almost useless. I think the last one was very good, so you can use this time well!
