My name is Nga, and I'm considering whether to book a flight to Seoul for double eyelid surgery. I know many foreigners fly there for it, but I'm not sure if it's really worth it, especially considering the cost of airfare, hotel, and time off work. Does anyone have any experience with this?
My biggest concern is the recovery period. Is it okay to fly back immediately after the surgery? How long will the swelling last? And what if something goes wrong after returning to Vietnam—will it be difficult to follow up with the doctor in Seoul? I'd like to know if anyone else feels anxious about these things.
Also, I'm not sure whether it's better to have it done in Vietnam or Seoul. I've heard that the techniques in Seoul are very famous, but I don't want to be too critical. Does anyone have experience with both? Or any advice on how to decide?

I had the same worries while in Japan, and I realized that being able to stay in Seoul during the recovery period was the most important factor in the decision. It seems like it would be really difficult to return to Vietnam immediately... I was also anxious because I didn't know exactly how long the swelling would last. Getting follow-up treatment overseas seems like it would be really complicated. I think it is important to know if you are able to stay in Seoul for a few days and if you have a trustworthy doctor in Vietnam!
