Hey everyone! So I'm planning a trip to Korea in a few months and I'm seriously considering getting a treatment done while I'm there. The thing is, I've been trying to read reviews online, but honestly, my Korean is pretty basic and I'm worried I'm missing important details or maybe even falling for fake reviews?
I've noticed some clinic pages seem to have like... a LOT of glowing reviews all at once, which feels a little sus to me? And I'm not sure if I should trust before-and-after photos since I know they can be edited or taken at different angles and lighting.
Does anyone have tips on how to spot sketchy reviews or red flags I should watch out for? Like, what questions should I be asking when I contact places? I'd rather go in with realistic expectations and avoid places that seem like they're overselling results. Also, has anyone used a translator app to read reviews, or is that kind of unreliable?
Thanks in advance! Any advice would be super helpful 💕

Your concerns are absolutely valid! I think the same way too. It's like some places have so many reviews that it starts to feel unnatural 😅 I'd suggest trying a real-time translation app while you're scanning through reviews, and look for ones with specific details—not just saying "amazing." Real people usually talk about their actual experience and things like swelling or other side effects. It's interesting when you reach out to clinics to ask about potential risks and follow-up rates—that can go a long way. I get your concerns, and I think this kind of thoughtfulness is great! 💕
Haha, I was thinking the same thing! 😅 The translator does help, but sometimes you really need to ask the clinic directly to make sure you're understanding correctly. Checking reviews by seeing if other people say the same thing, and looking at before-and-after photos from different angles by various people is probably better!
I've been in that situation too when I first went, and honestly Google Translate isn't too bad if you read carefully and compare multiple reviews 😅 Are you planning to find a Korean-speaking friend to go with or consult beforehand, or are you thinking of contacting the places on your own?
