Hi everyone, I'm Yawen, and I'm currently considering a big decision. I've always wanted to get double eyelid surgery, and while there are many clinics in Taiwan to choose from, I've recently seen many people say that the results in Seoul are quite natural, and the doctors seem very experienced. I'm tempted, but the cost of airfare, accommodation, and taking time off work for recovery seems quite high.
My biggest concern is whether it's worth the trip. Has anyone flown from overseas to Seoul for eye surgery? What's the recovery process like? I've heard that post-operative care in Korea is good, but I don't speak Korean very well, and I'm worried about communication issues. Also, how do I determine which clinic is right for me?
If anyone has experience to share, or if there are any factors I should consider, I would really appreciate it! I'm currently hesitant and would like to hear everyone's thoughts.

I'm considering something similar! I think your concerns are very reasonable, after all, the cost is indeed considerable. I've heard that many international patients go to Seoul mainly to see if the doctors' experience and aesthetic sense there are really different, but I'm also worried about language communication 😅. Perhaps we could ask more experienced women on the forum how they handled communication issues and their experiences during recovery? That might give you more confidence?
