Hi everyone, I'm Fei, and I've been seriously considering going to Seoul for double eyelid surgery recently. I've also consulted with several hospitals in China, but I've heard from many people that Korean aesthetics and techniques really are something special, so I'm quite tempted. However, the issue is that I'd need to take time off work specifically, buy plane tickets, and book a hotel. When you add it all up, both the time and financial costs are pretty significant, and I'm not sure if the trip would be worth it.
What I'm most conflicted about is that doctors in China can do a good job too, so why do I have to go all the way to Seoul? Besides possibly having different aesthetic styles, are there other advantages? Has anyone here actually flown over from China specifically to get it done? Do you think there's a noticeable difference in results and experience? Also, how should I plan my recovery period, since I can't fly back immediately, right?
If I decide to go, should I contact and consult with clinics well in advance? Will language be an issue? My English is pretty decent, but I really don't speak Korean at all… Can any experienced sisters share how the whole process works? Right now I'm just trying to assess whether this is really a necessary choice for me, or if I can actually get what I need done domestically.

I totally understand your concerns, honestly I had the same thoughts! 😅 The part where you mentioned spending on flights, hotels, and having to ask for time off work—you really do need to think carefully about whether it's worth it. But from what I've heard from friends who've gone, they said the location and expertise made them feel much more confident. Don't worry about the language barrier though, because they're used to international clients, and some places even have English translation available 🙌
