Hi, this is Asuka. I've been thinking about getting double eyelid surgery for a while, and recently I've started to consider having it done in Seoul. I could get it done in Japan, but I've heard that Korean clinics have more experience and produce more natural-looking results... However, I'm honestly hesitant about whether it's really worth flying all the way there.
I'm not sure about the cost of the surgery itself, the travel expenses, and whether I'll need to go back several times for follow-up checkups. Is there really that much difference between Japan and Korea? Also, there's the language barrier, and I'm concerned about whether I can receive aftercare in Japan if something bothers me.
Is there anyone else considering having surgery overseas? I'd love to hear about what criteria you used to decide and what your experience was like.

I'm considering this just like you! I understand your concerns about the cost of multiple flights for follow-up, and also about communication and remote aftercare. It's definitely a difficult decision.
I'm thinking the same thing as you! I'm in Vietnam, so I'm considering Seoul versus other places, but I've heard many people talk about the experiences and natural results in Korea, so you might want to research the second and third follow-up trips thoroughly before deciding.
I'm thinking the same thing! I understand your concern about travel and follow-up costs, but many people have told me that the experience and natural results are worth it. However, you're right that language and post-operative care are very important things to consider. Has anyone here actually tried it and could share their experience?
