Since it is an older apartment, the window on the master bedroom balcony has an old-fashioned wooden frame. I know I would have to drill a hole to install a wall-mounted unit, so I'm looking into it. I'm wondering if the Winix window air conditioner can be securely mounted even on a wooden frame! If any moms have installed one on a wooden frame before, please give me lots of tips!

If you use an extension kit or reinforcement, it installs really securely even on wooden window frames.
