Overview

New Smile LASIK is a surgical method that addresses the various drawbacks of LASIK and LASEK. New Smile LASIK uses a femtosecond laser that penetrates directly without removing the corneal epithelium or creating a flap. By directly irradiating the corneal stroma with the laser, it creates a lenticule, which is a small piece of corneal tissue. Vision correction is completed by removing this lenticule through a micro-incision of approximately 2mm in the cornea. Because of this process, the disadvantages associated with the flap in LASIK have been overcome, as have the long recovery period and pain associated with LASEK.    Observation of progress

   Recovery is confirmed through checkups the next day, one week, and one month.

Side Effects & Precautions

• Please stop wearing soft lenses for 1 week (hard lenses for 2-3 weeks) before surgery.
• Avoid rubbing your eyes, swimming, and strenuous exercise for one month after surgery.
• Manage dryness with artificial tears and get regular checkups.
