Hello, my name is Gift, and I'm currently considering getting double eyelid surgery in Seoul. My friends have told me that the results in Korea are very beautiful, and the price might even be more affordable than in Thailand. However, I'm still unsure if it's worth it when factoring in the cost of plane tickets, accommodation, and the time spent traveling back and forth.
Many people say they went to Seoul because that particular team of doctors is truly skilled. But I'm worried that if any issues arise after I return home, it might be more difficult to follow up with the doctor. Some people suggest having a video call consultation first, or staying in Korea for about 2-3 weeks until the swelling has completely subsided before returning.
Does anyone have experience with getting eye surgery in Seoul and feeling like it was truly worth it? Or are there any things I should know before making a decision? I'm currently weighing the pros and cons between going to Korea or having the procedure done in Thailand.

I feel the same way you do. The long travel and all the expenses, plus the follow-up appointments after returning, are really concerning points that I haven't been able to decide on yet.
To Gift. I can relate because I had similar concerns. I have a question: if anything comes up after the surgery, are you considering follow-up care with a doctor in Thailand? Or is staying in Seoul for 2-3 weeks realistic given your work and family commitments?
I've felt the same anxiety you're experiencing! What I think is important is to carefully calculate the cost of flights and the length of your stay, as the total expense might not actually be more economical. Additionally, post-surgery follow-up from afar can be quite complicated. I suggest you research which clinics offer good online follow-up support before making your decision.
