Hi everyone, I'm Chialing from Taiwan. I've been thinking about getting a small procedure done in Seoul recently, but honestly, I'm a bit nervous due to concerns about language barriers and trust in medical services. I wanted to ask you all: How do you usually find reliable clinics?
My main concern is communication – is it essential to find a place that offers consultations in Chinese or English? Or do some people use translation apps or go with a friend? Also, what questions do you typically ask during your first consultation to gauge whether a clinic is trustworthy? I've heard some places can be very pushy with sales, while others are more reserved, and I'm not sure which is better.
I would be so grateful if anyone has experiences they'd like to share! I'm especially interested in hearing how you verify a clinic's qualifications and if there's anything specific to pay attention to during consultations.

I understand how you feel! I have similar worries. Language barriers are a really big deal, aren't they? For me, I'm thinking of relying on translation apps and friends, and I plan to assess during the first consultation whether I can trust them and if they explain things properly. I want to gather information with Chialing, so if anyone has experience, please share!
I used to worry just like you! My experience is to use Google Translate or DeepL when communicating, and many places in Seoul have English-speaking staff, so that's also helpful. More importantly, the first time I went, I asked a lot of questions about the procedure, potential risks, and if they answered carefully, I felt reassured. It's not that everywhere with a lot of advertising is good. I hope you find a good place!
