Hello, it's Hayaka. I'm thinking about getting cosmetic procedures in Korea, but honestly, I'm not sure how to budget for it... I can't really picture how much I'll need in total for flights, accommodation, and the procedures themselves. Flights alone from Japan can be quite expensive, and then adding the procedure costs on top of that...
For those who have actually had procedures in Korea, how long do you typically stay? I imagine you can't just get the procedure on the day and fly straight back, and you probably need a few days for observation, right? So I have no idea how many days are necessary or how to plan the itinerary. I'll also need to take time off work...
How do you all plan your trips? I'd be grateful if you could share any tips on budgeting, or a rough breakdown of your actual expenses. I'm wondering if I should start by booking consultations to gather information, but before that, I'd love to hear about someone else's experience. Thank you in advance!

I'm also considering this, so I understand your concerns! I've seen that people usually stay for about 5-7 days, which is enough for follow-up appointments and recovery. Plus, you can use that time to do a little sightseeing too, hehe.
I'm thinking the same thing, so reading your post made me happy haha! Yes, the most complicated part is indeed preparing the total budget from the start, especially since flights from Japan are far and expensive. Maybe we can gather information together by asking for online consultations first before leaving. Who knows, they might be able to give us an idea of how long we need to stay and approximately how much the budget would be, so we don't have to guess 😅
I'm thinking the same thing! Flight prices from here are indeed quite high, but I've heard from friends who have been to Korea that they usually stay for about 5-7 days for consultations and follow-ups. Maybe we can try consulting online first or go there directly, and then see their recommendations for how long to stay, so we can plan our budget and time off work more clearly.
I totally get this stress—I'm from the US and did the same budget spiral before my trip! Honestly, I think reaching out for consultations is super smart because they can give you realistic timelines for how many days you'd need to stay, and then you can figure out if you should book flights for like a week or longer. The unknowns are the worst part, so once you have actual info from them it'll be way easier to plan around your work schedule.
I also came from Vietnam to Korea before, and my experience is that you should stay for about 5-7 days to have time to recover and also consult with the doctor a second time, rather than rushing back immediately. I advise you to contact 2-3 different places for consultations to compare prices and treatment plans, because everyone has different needs, so the costs vary a lot!
